Rights: Only CDHA members
may receive ADHA/CDHA/ Local Component benefits. Only members may serve in voluntary and elected positions.
Representation:
Members receive expert representation on employment and professional issues before state regulatory agencies, the state legislature,
the U.S. Congress and, if necessary, in court. Representation is provided by legislative advocates, consultants and lawyers
with expertise in representing dental hygienists.
Communications: Members receive the CDHA Journal and State Report Newsletter in addition to The
Journal of Dental Hygiene and ADHA's ACCESS news magazine. Local components also have a newsletter to keep members informed
at the grass roots level. The 25 local components make CDHA accessible to every member. Local and state officers, in addition
to our Glendale Office, are available to assist any member with special needs.
Continuing Education: CDHA sponsors scientific sessions in the spring and fall featuring
nationally recognized speakers, student table clinics and exhibitors in addition to a continuing education morning at the
annual House of Delegates. Local components also sponsor CE programs keeping members current with the state continuing education
requirements and informed on the latest developments in the dental hygiene program.

Referral: Most local components
have referral chairs to help bring dental hygiene openings to the attention of member hygienists looking for employment.

Scholarship
Assistance: Financial help
for students and researchers is available to members who qualify. Information on scholarships can be found at ADHA. Click

Disability Insurance: Only dental hygienists who are members of CDHA can obtain coverage through the

Theme Park or Consumer Discounts: Members receive consumer and theme park savings. Members may
mail a downloaded request form to CDHA to receive their coupons and cards. On the national level, ADHA members are eligible
